The only Hydrangea common in cultivation to have globular flowers whose florets have sepals in the shape of spoons, similar in appearance to the rounded waxy blossoms of lilacs. With pale pink to light blue colouration depending on the soil pH. This selection also offers a slight fragrance, rare among Hydrangea.
